FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT Sara Reynolds [email protected] DENVER – Inspired by the goodwill of Colorado’s oil and natural gas industry, the Colorado Oil & Gas Association recognized Sally Hallingstad, Bison Oil & Gas II, and Extraction Oil & Gas with the 2020 individual, small and large company Community Impact Awards for representing the core values of our industry through positive stewardship, community efforts and selfless contributions across our state. The Individual Community Impact Award is given to a person in the oil and natural gas industry who has shown tireless dedication to their community in their personal time. Sally Hallingstad (Whiting Petroleum) has shown endless dedication to the community in her personal time. She has worked to prioritize giving back and her involvement has improved the lives of those who are in need. Sally has shown her commitment to community through her service, character, and leadership. Hallingstad gave more than 1,000 hours of her time in volunteer service in 2019. She also serves as president of Oilfield Helping Hands board; president of the Women's Energy Network Colorado; and board chair of Project PAVE. The Small Company Community Impact Award is given to a member company which has less than 150 employees and fosters a corporate giving environment through company-wide impacts, as well as encouraging individual non-profit involvement. Bison Oil & Gas II, LLC supports their community by fostering an environment of corporate giving. They work to positively impact communities as a company, but also encourage their employees to become involved in non-profit causes and initiatives. Bison Oil & Gas II, LLC has made a significantly positive impact in Colorado by giving significant donations to Colorado-based charities in 2019. Their employees also donated more than 1,000 volunteer hours and served on non-profit boards including the Children's Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees and Aztec Wrestling Gym Foundation. The Large Company Community Impact Award is given to a member company with more than 150 employees and that leverage their size for a significant impact and focus on creating opportunities for all employees to volunteer. Extraction Oil & Gas has made it a priority to serve their community through service, support, and donations. They understand the influence they have as a larger organization and use that to their advantage to promote giving back. Extraction Oil & Gas has made it possible for their employees and organization as a whole to volunteer their time and resources to their community. They and their employees have been remarkable community partners across Colorado through significant charitable giving but also community service. The company supports more than 60 nonprofit organizations, serves on nonprofit boards and donated a new, wheelchair accessible bus to FRIENDS of Broomfield.
